Khirallah Trial Attorneys is proud to announce that attorney Chase Newsom has been elected Chair of the Texas Young Lawyers Association (TYLA) for the 2026-27 term.

Chase was elected by fellow TYLA board members and sworn in at the State Bar of Texas annual meeting in Houston on June 12.

As Chair, Chase will manage and oversee TYLA board meetings and help guide its efforts to serve young lawyers and the public across Texas. Founded by the State Bar of Texas in 1930, TYLA is one of the nation's most active young lawyer organizations. The association is dedicated to promoting the highest standards of professionalism, facilitating the administration of justice, advancing respect for the rule of law, and encouraging lawyers to serve their communities.

This honor reflects Chase's long standing commitment to professional leadership and public service. In addition to his involvement with TYLA, he is active in numerous legal and civic organizations, including the Dallas Trial Lawyers Association, the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers Foundation, and the Texas Bar Foundation.
